Family

This is my family

Patrick, girls and Val my Mum in Law. I miss my parents, sister and nephews so very much. When I was home in the UK before finally moving to Canada I heard so many people saying that they wanted to emigrate, and three people I knew were in the process of emigrating to NZ and Australia. I do ot think they consider the pain of being seperated from your family.

Every little set back in life seems harder to bear without the support network of friends and family.

Don't get me wrong I truly love the in-laws, but it will NEVER replace Mum, Dad and AJ. So much day to day stuff happens and is forgotten.

Still enough moan and groan, life is good at the moment, whilst I struggle with my fears 24-7, I am on a good perod at the moment and I am feeling positive. It is so damnhard to keep that positive feeling, I always feel ike everybody else gets it and I don't. I would dearly love to be able to see how people 'see' me.

I have always thought Canada would be a really sort of ... romantic place to live - mountains, bears and snow and such like - what's the reality like?

Well you are not far wrong, too often we have been awoken to the sound and sight of giant bears in our back garden, but trust me they are not so cute and cuddly when you are 4 feet away with just a window to protect you.

I love the mountains, and I never tore of their beauty , in winter all snow topeed and at nights you can see the ski runs lit up from the city, in the summer beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear lakes to swim in glacier water.

We don't get too much snow on the west coast , but other areas can get down to -30 degrees, Vancouver thankfully is sheltered by those wonderfull coast mountains. And inthe summer high 20's and 30's, make it too hot, so we head down and swim in the Pacific ocean....georgous.

Though I am due back in the UK in 3weeks 6 days, and I trust me absence does make the heart grow fonder and I cannot wait to hit Bury Market , and have lunch in the Abbey Gardens.
